The shoe that started me on the AE path. McTavish tan Dublin leather and double sole goodness. I really like this leather a lot. It patinas very nicely. The attached pictures here make them look a little darker than in actuality due to lighting. It's a shame that AE doesn't have Dublin anywhere in its current lineup.

As my first venture in to grown up shoes, I agonized over the $157 seconds pricing. Sort of amusing looking back considering I've acquired over a dozen pairs of AE since, including shell cordovan (pairs 4 and 5 scheduled to arrive tomorrow).

Big fan of the McTavish and the cardigan. J.Crew? I gave it a good chance, ordered a couple sizes and I just couldn't get it to work, perfectly in between a medium and large.Your fit looks just right.

Also, I thought I saw it posted somewhere before - is the Eagle County Dublin leather? I really like how it is aging, but I couldn't remember the specs on the build.

Yep, J.Crew. Christmas gift this year from my wife. Medium fits quite nicely!

Like the cardigan. I also like how you've made your McT's the focal point of the outfit!
Thanks! These were actually my 2nd choice for today. I was planning on going with the natty HM but as I glanced around the closet I saw the McTavish and changed my mind when I was about to leave the house. And, well, it's Wednesday, so, wingtips.

9° here in Chiraq! Time for my longbranches, no surprise, and my Cabelas fleece lined jeans with a Duluth flannel shirt. The fleece lined jeans are way warmer than the flannel lined chinos. Almost too warm for the office. They might get relegated to weekend status.
