Jealous of both, those are some nice picks!

Reason I’m not participating in any of the sales right now:
RLPL pair 2 of 2 arrived today:

I actually had planned on ordering both these and the green ones at the same time, but I wanted to confirm that they would fit before I went all in. Since slippers with school crests are usually reserved for Ivy League schools (primarily through JP Crickets), I figured the only way I could get my alma mater done was to order the slippers and do custom embroidery through a third party. Still deciding if I’m going to do the seal or the logo, but this makes up for the fact that I missed out on the March Madness custom Neumok program.

That’s it for a good while for me, the green and orange pairs were the only two I had really been wanting (and since they’re fairly rare, I knew I probably wouldn’t get a shot again). The only other pair I really want is black Del Toros with a skull and crossbones embroidery, but those are regularly available, so no rush.

If you are interested in RL, CM or BB makeups it is worth the trip otherwise it is pretty much normal shoe bank stock

Bring IT! I now wish I would have worn mine but they typically get reserved for Fridays.

Nice choices! You've stumbled into my top 2 favorite AE's over the past 4 years. Merlot McAllisters being the most worn and my brown Sullivan Streets just being an all around winner for comfort, style, and fit - it slots in perfectly with my slightly-dressier-than-business-casual work environment.

And probably my 3rd favorite pair right now, the Taupe strand at $158 is banging. Struggling to hold off on the snuff or navy...

Thanks, they had a bunch of them. Also had some sweet CM navy suede patriots but couldn’t make any of the different sizes work

I recently found a pair of Dukes in 12EEE. The things are HUGE. First AE shoe that was so far off from their normal sizing. Perhaps the things were actually mis-marked.

Dang it .... I think I have contracted Audog Syndrome.

I REALLY don't need another one of these but that price and my current love for the ones I have said to grab them.

Keep them, maybe wear them, or maybe just resell them if they don't get enough attention from me.

Nope, Cochrane's. Gone now, but it used to be on Wright and Green, just a couple dozen feet north of Follett's (also gone). Cochrane's family owned a number of bars on campus at the time I was there (89-93/94-96) - Cochrane's, C.O. Daniels, R&R's, Clybourn, The Office and Office II, plus 1 or 2 others that were off-campus. I have no idea which bars they still own on campus, as I haven't been there in about 15 years now, but I know they have a couple.

Yes, they still own a couple on campus, plus Office and Office II are still open and they have a couple of bars downtown Champaign as that is the new "hotspot" lots of bars/coffee houses/eating places and nightclubs now.

at that price, how can you refuse to get them. Even if they sit in the closet for a year or two.

I woke up one spring break in the back of my custom van (80s) broke, with a loaf of bread and a case of Old Mil in the cooler in Ft Lauderdale. They pretty much gave Old Mil away it was so cheap. I think less than $5 for a case.

HMs (particularly some of the SMU models in my closet) are my favorite boot but the stock Indys are a close second. But the Indys have been teasing me for years and there is something about wanting what I cannot have that escalates their value.

And I have convinced myself...to just go ahead and buy a few pairs so maybe (not) I will focus more on work. A few good hours of work can pay for this stuff, but instead, I'll scroll for bargains...for hours. :) Something about the thrill of the hunt.
