I don’t worry too much about average price as some grail shoes I will pony up the dough.

I agree, but it makes me feel better. ;p my spreadsheet reminds me every day I scroll to the total money spent and average costs lines.

That is very true. It’s the volume that’ll get ya though! (Or at least gets me)

In addition to my Bourbon Daltons that arrived today, Kristen also found me Daltons in Dark Chili and also a replacement pair for my "a bit too small" Chocolate Daltons and an even exchange of some black shell PA's......those all arrive next week.......Also have some Acorn suede Leidens en route to her for inspection before they head my way.....I think madhat was right, I'm gonna be well over 50 pair this year......

What's left to fill out the Dalton collection for you? Black?

Black, Walnut and Oxblood- I'm halfway there! I wear so much black for work that I am probably going to pass on that one, but Walnut will happen at some point. Oxblood I can't wrap my head around as of yet. I don't think it will get enough wear.

Merlot McAllister or Black Park Aves? Can’t decide...

Edit - Also keep looking at black McGregors.

If it makes you feel better, every time there's one in my size it only lasts 2 hours before another weasel gets their hands on them.

Yep. Mine do not actually look that green in reality. I was surprised with how the photo turned out. To be honest, they look very close to the new slate color most of the time.

My natural Stirlings, first quality, are going back. Fit great and took just over a day to ship and arrive. Right shoe is second worthy with several issues. Scratches primarily with some minor sole edge dressing missing. Left shoe is iffy as a second with a mix of natural and really dark, almost black leather with grain issues on the side and tongue, and scratches.

Isn’t that cxl? If so, the scratches will buff out fairly easily. The color issue is more of a personal preference, but natural will darken over time in any event. Loose grain is the thing that would concern me most, but it seems to be something for which AE takes a “wait and see if the customer complains” approach.
