Ok this is good info I did not know I could have my local Shoebank order the shoes from the CAC for me to try and inspect.

I hope I did not imply that I thought there was a "shoe conspiracy" that was not what I meant at all.

What you are saying seems reasonable the CAC is just a stockhouse for the Shoebanks. But I wonder how they decide what they list online as CAC and what goes to Shoebanks that is yet again listed online.

Its certainly possible if you have a good relationship with the SM/SA's at your AE Outlet, and should be true across the board. Of course there always a balloon knot or two that make things difficult. They shouldn't since you can just order the shoes to your house and then dump them at their store if you don't like what you get, so what are they really accomplishing.

As for what store gets what, its likely random. I suppose they could have some regional bias (like more boots to northern locations, more loafers and weaves to the southern locations), but I don't have any hard facts. Also some of the locations that have been open longer, will likely have some older discontinued models, while the newly open locations will have more recent stuff.

I'm going to call this "way back Wednesday". These are Bridgetons from about 1995 - this is what they called Bourbon back then.

I have 3 of this style - black, burgundy, and bourbon. I still like this shoe.

Walnut Wednesday contribution. Rutledges from the bank (somehow these are still available in limited sizes).

Walnut Wednesday today.

@polishrifle , these are the LGAs. I went through some foot issues myself and tried to go the Road Warriors route. These LGAs are nice, but they are most definitely a down grade (including the quality of leather). I also bought the captoe and slip-on off the 'bay. I'm glad I didn't pay much for those, as they look super cheap and have only been worn a couple of times.

I really like the RW insoles; they work great for my flat feet and help me fill excess volume in non-RW shoes. I'd say give the LGAs a try (robably closer to brannock size than 65). That, or look at finding inserts to go in regular AEs.

Fullertons. I guess I wore these pants last Wednesday too, but I don't care. What really bothers me is that they're too big.

God I'm so desperate to find a pair of these that will fit me.

Anyone want a lightly used pair of 11 Ds for a good price?

I found a new pair on Ebay that would fit me, but they are $350. These are on the 65 last, right?

They are on the 333 last. A bit wider and longer than the 65 but the length seems to be something thats just typical. I'm wearing a 9D in these which is what I wear for the 511 last. It is a little bit more snug but with the type of leather after about 3 hours of wear they feel great. For reference I typically wear 8.5EE or 9E on the 65 last.

Oh **** -- thank you guys. I do not have any experience with the 333. I don't know why I assumed these were on the 65 or 201.

Makes me think twice about considering the ebay pair.

If I could have picked I'd probably still get my 65 size had they been available. Meaning 9E vs 9D that I got.
