Ok forum friends, Question: Is it just me or does the left shoe look much bigger than the right? I'm thinking one is mislabeled as a D and should be an E. Just my observation.

Or has the left one been stretched?

Sizing question/opinion. I do well with a MacNeal 1.0 in 12C. 12B is too tight longways. I have Strands in 12C that may be a touch too long.

Are there any lasts in which I might be a good fit at 11.5D? With the lack of 12Cs, in new, Shoebank, and ebay, 11.5D would greatly enhance my options.

Thanks
Francis

Yeah buddy, bourbon Strands from AE's eBay came in today:

Aside from the spot on the left shoe between the 2nd and 3rd eyelets, these are flawless- no tiger striping or anything. I think bourbon is growing to be my favorite color, too bad it was discontinued.

I wish they would do this in oxblood.

These are ok, mine squeak when I walk and I had a very tough time finding a good fit. 12D was too small 12E was too wide so I settled on a 13B and it seems ok, good enough in the length and width. AE said to take out the shoe liner but that's the point in the comfort level. Anyways...not my favorite AE but it is good for days you need a rubber sole.

This color blows me away. It is so rich looking! I don't know why they are not making it anymore. :(

does anyone think this can be fix with the 50 dollar refinishing that allen edmonds offer. or is it better to just buy a new one on sale from nordstrom?

I know that loafers are not real popular here but I have to show off my oxblood Graysons today. They look great and feel great. I'm slowly adding to my stable but it's doubtful that I ever reach barn weasel status.

But hey.....a guy can always dream.....

@eagleman Looks excellent - I'm sure slcrich would agree. Bet that pic knocked his socks off.
You know I love the Grayson and you know I love oxblood. This is a win win win. Thinking mine might make an appearance tomorrow now....

I've been buying left and right recently, but the one thing consistently on my list is black Graysons when the RA sale rolls around. Can't wait.

These look fantastic in oxblood

Guys how do you know when a shoe is too big for your foot? How much room do you have when you scoot your foot to the front of the shoe? How tight is that space? I am concerned that on some of my shoes they may be too big and some may be too small. :) It's a challenge. And with AE since they are hand made there can be variances. I just want to know your input.

Are those special order? I don't see them on the website. I am guessing those are some of the $125 special order uncharge? I am concerned my Cornwallis may be too small. MY AE SA says they stretch out very well but they seem tight to me.
