I feel like I won't be able to contribute much to this place since I won't be buying anything anytime soon. [IMG] Not that I don't want to, but there's nothing that I feel I gotta have immediately. I have nothing new to show, really. Time to go back to being a lurker.

So I'm looking for a few comments / suggestions on a next move. I think I've rounded out my work wear, but want to start my fund for a next play. Want something potentially more casual, or a boot, or an oxblood Warwick I think but the deal on merlot mcallisters makes me extra weasely.

    First the line up:

    Strandmok - tan
    Carlyle - walnut
    McGregor - Dk. Chili
    Strand - bourbon
    Park Avenue - Dk brown
    Strand - Midnight Navy
    Hanover - black
Rivoli - tan canvas (essentially wasted space)

    Non-ae content:
Split toe rain beater Bostonian - black
To boot New York - burnished brown senato (a frankly better looking presido)
Some odd boat shoes and junky bar shoes.

So if you were me where would you go?

Merlot is darker and also has some hints or purple while Oxblood is lighter with more red. I think Oxblood/sexy and Merlot/classy.

I would probably grab something in Oxblood (Loafer/Warwick/Dalton/Yorktown) or Merlot (Randolph/McAllister/Jefferson/)

@styleaudit91 all oxblood, all the time. Simple answer :) you know the Warwick is the sexiest shoe. Combine that with the sexiest color (@AndyMiddles words, not mine) and there you go. Also, merlot McAlister. Barn weasels unite!

    You've got a great line-up.
How about a boot (Dalton) or chukka (Dundee)?

Store open/close times on Shoebank? Nice add! Some newly discounted shoes in my size, but my wife just found out about a couple pairs I'd been keeping from her. May need to buy her something sparkly before I can get any more shoes.

lol! I have 3 myself that are under my work desk. I'm considering releasing the black Carlyle, since it was only $90, and because she likes the black shoes the best.

How did your wife find out? Did you keep them in your car? I do that sometimes.

I picked up some McGregors from dabondo which were described as burgundy. They are definitely Merlot or Oxblood (pleasant surprise) and I polished them this weekend with Oxblood. My untrained eye says the two colors are very close.

You can determine the color by the 4 digit number in the shoe, but many eBay'er label anything with red in it "burgundy" or worse "cordovan".

Even if I didn't have any feet, I'd still love, and probably would buy, shoes.

Sheer foolishness: I forgot we were having a house guest, and failed to adequately secure them in the back of the guest room closet. They were just sitting on the floor of the closet when she went in to clean and make room. It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't just told me how proud she was of me for not buying any new shoes recently...

Congratulations. Tim Conway as Dorf on Golf was the last thing I'd ever expect to see in this forum. I'll no longer be surprised at anything in here now. I'm bowing to you as I type this
