There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks! Love the McCallisters, by the way, but with my very small rotation they seemed too close to the Strand. Someday!
For my Strands, the bourbon polish is nearly an exact match. They sit next to some walnut Kenilworths in my closet, and the difference is pretty substantial.

Heckuva job starting off the new thread @watchidiot - chock full of pure unobtainium and making us all wish for bigger closets!

Thanks for taking on the task. :slayer:

Oddenwald for a walk out today...... I really really really hope AE either brings to back or releases new versions of this boot. I still lament not getting the blue nuemok leather with blue suede quarters in before the shitcanned the mto program.

First post after following the old forum for 2 years! I thought it was a good time given the new forum and my first pair of shell.

I got these from eBay last week, burgundy cordovan MacNeil. There's some funny business on the right toe but I'm wearing them every other day to justify a recraft. I also stuck a credit card to puff the toe.

I finally bought a pair of bourbon shoes, and wore them for the first time yesterday. It's funny, because I could never get excited about that color in the store. But when I got mine, I just loved it. From what I've seen on this thread, there is a LOT of variation in the color and shade of "bourbon".
I was trying to decide how I'd describe this color. To me, mine look like they've got an olive tint.

Just got these Hanovers as seconds from Shoebank. Very cool design and soft leather similar to indy collection.

I can't disagree with you. I think I've deveoped an aversion to the concept based on some of the pics I've seen here, which may well be a skewed perspective.

Anyone know when they've had the March madness neumok MTO in the past? Paul mentioned it on his AMA so hopefully should be kicking off soon to be in time for the tourney.

I've been wondering if the Dundee 2.0 was available in kudu if it be a more forgiving fit. My 13B pair is a bit cramped in the toe, and they don't offer a 14A. I really like the look of the undistressed, grain-out kudu. Heck, just offer everything in kudu.

I'd also like them to bring back the Gobi so I can get a properly fitting pair of firsts. And more chukka patterns in general.

The store (MJM) closing where I got my Ridgeways had 3 pairs of what I believe were the Michigan (Wolverines) with boxes. Really dark blue (for a while I though it was black) and yellow. But that store is gone now. Those shoes were still around after they had dropped below $50.

@Moose22 Too bad they still haven't straightened out that mess. I buy 1sts and 2nds from Ben and so far haven't had a problem, knock on wood.

I missed out on the Rutledge when I waited too long. Even saw them at bcf for 139 (not my size). But hey, the shell Adams I picked up for 127 was a good consolation prize.[IMG]

I love the Rutledges that I picked up from the shoe bank a month or so ago. Where did you find shell for that price? Forgive me, I don't know all the acronyms yet.

Completely unrealistic answer: Any shoe in a light brown or natural-whiskey shell color, preferably MacNeils, McAllisters, Leeds, Strands, and/or Carlyles

More realistic: a light brown color calf leather, that's used on most of the standard models, that is a halfway point between walnut and brown... I assume that's happening with the demise of bourbon

I have an old pair of brown Lasalles that are perfect. I looked at getting a newer pair of brown burnished Delrays to replace them, but they were way too dark.

I really hope they bring back a medium brown calf leather.

Anything reverse kudu would be killer Web gem..I could go for a blue or hunter green chamois odenwald for Web gem...or something like the brogue in reverse chamois built on b34...those would make me happy

Natty shell being made available would be amazing.

I would love a natty shell Macneil with natural edge, or a natty Player 2.0.

Something like this from Carmina as a color option for some fall boots; AE's green offerings have generally been somewhat sickly looking to my eye.
