Does anyone here have both the Verona II and the Gucci classic horsebit loafer? How do they compare (in comfort, quality, and appearances)?

Is the $10 restocking fee for 2nds standard, now?

I received a pair of "russett brown" (oxblood) Freiburgs where the derby panel was clearly a different color from the main body. It looked ugly, and I opted to return it to the store, which charged a $10 restocking fee.

It used to be that store returns didn't have a restocking fee, or that particularly egregious quality violations would waive the fee. I was a little surprised by the policy, to be honest. I'm still a customer, but it will make me more careful in what I buy. I haven't even dipped my toes into the Shoebank yet, and not sure I want to.

OK, there is the simple way I look at such a project for myself. Doing what you propose has a chance of making the shoes look better and a chance of making them look worse...even far worse. I know I would stand a far higher chance of making them look worse than I do of making them look better. Given their current appearance, which I think is really pretty good, I would not view the attempt at "good shoe risk management."

How does the 108 last compare to the 65? Do most get the same size in both?

I avoided AE website and shoe porn for almost a year because I knew I couldn't stop myself from buying more. I could only stay away for so long though...

    Agreed on all!

Question to you all: Is striping a leather issue, or a burnishing/finishing issue?

Shoe porn is a scary scary thing. I wandered over into Lobb, EG, G&G and never again. Next thing I knew it was 3am and I hadn't had dinner. Also, cannot wait to contribute to walnut Wednesday this week. Also also, seriously no other golfers in here? Super disappoint if so

I'm a golfer but I've never tried AE golf shoes. Strictly Footjoy. Spent the week in Augusta at the Masters. Great experience.

Did you return it in person or ship it back to the store? Only in-person returns have the fee waived, I hadn't heard that was changed.

Oh I remember your picture. I basically liked then unliked just so I could like it again. Augusta is dream course #1 on my list. I might throw $90 at those bear path ones on the bank...

It's the damn barn weasels. They have hooked me in also. I've bought 5 pair since January.

In-person to the San Francisco store. Admittedly, my wife returned it, but still, it was in-person, and they charged her the fee.

Good to hear I am not the only one who was unaware of this.

You think they'd work on a 10 without slipping off?
