Natural CXL Clark Streets, with cheap carpet.
AE's walnut shell is such a different color from their walnut calf. I like the color so much more. Agree, that it's a pity they don't do more of it.
What are these?
The Dawson. Not sure if I like these or not. Calf upper, bicycle toe on a single oak sole. Maybe they will grow on me.
Black cordovan Dundee chukkas.
PAs today. Getting ready for a job interview.
Happy Walnut Wednesday, gents!
There was a recent discussion about the fit of these. Both of my First Aves are the same size as my 5-last shoes. 9D in these boots fit great; 9D in 65 is a little snug. With the 201, too much volume is my issue - but these seem to be doing alright (about 4-5 wears in on these walnuts, about 10 on the brown grain version).
This pair seems like a schizophrenic design. Black patent leather wingtip with red contrast stitching and a mini lug sole. The Ridgeway. Yea or Nay? Discuss among yourselves.
Gotta disagree here.
Walnut shell looks like bourbon calf.
Natural shell looks like walnut calf.
I'm not a big fan of either bourbon calf or, by extension, walnut shell.
Just picked up a good looking pair of Brown 5th Avenues on eBay for $55. Overall in good shape, but i'm going to send them back to be re-crafted (never done that before). Should get a great pair of shoes for 1/2 price.
What are people's thoughts on the Eagle Country (Tan)? Like or dislike? I see a pair in my size on the bank everyday. $177 seems like a pretty good deal for boots although I seem to remember hearing about the sole coming off.
Great looking shoes - and good luck on the interview.
You're free to disagree. Really a preferential thing. I prefer darker colored leather in general and don't really like walnut calf like the rest of the group.
