    Hello fellas,
In my eternal quest to find shoes that fit, i've discovered that the AE Fifth ave works if iget a 12B for the right foot and an 11.5 C for the left. Nordstrom wont sell a split pairs unless there is at least a size-and-a-half difference between feet, and they don't sell b width anyhow, leaving me to get a custom pair directly from AE. My question is if the Fifth avenues fit, would it be safe to order another shoe made on the same last like Strands? If they fit and will last forever, I don't mind paying for them, but I'm not willing to take a $400 gamble on this.
    Thanks much,

Don't be so picky about a half-size difference, it's only 4mm. Leather will stretch, and not in entirely predictable ways (since every piece comes from a different cow). Realistically this means you need to tolerate some difference in fit between the shoe and your foot, unless you're willing to throw away your shoes every time they stretch a few mm and become too big. You can add insoles, tongue pads or heel grips if the shoe is loose, they make these things for good reasons. Also the handcrafting that goes into Allen Edmonds shoes will guarantee that no two shoes will be exactly the same, even for the same model, even ignoring the natural variations in leather (again, different cows). Assuming you're not some billionaire who can spend inordinate time and money on shoe perfection, you're far better off adapting to minor fit issues with your shoes than trying to achieve unrealistic expectations.

Yes, any shoe made on that last should fit the same.
