Left is AE. Right is Polo. I prefer the wider tongue on the Polo but like everything else about the AE. They are less clunky and feel much lighter on the foot.

I like the full straps and the shape of the lake/toe area on the C&Js. The stitching looks a little more refined too, at least in the pics. But I'm not much of a loafer man anyway, so what do I know. Nice collection of cordo either way. Me, I only have one lonely pair of AE Cambridges in cordovan. I like them tho.

I like the AE better too. Not a fan of the full strap penny loafer.

If the AE had a beefroll & heelkicker, they'd be perfect....but they look good as they are too.

I also prefer the full strap on the penny loafers. I believe it will help the shoe retain the shape better. Loafers have a tendency to "blow out" and get loose in the ball / instep areas. Full strap makes that area more substantial.
