i thought he was releasing detox but changing the name and calling it compton a soundtrack. it looks like it's the soundtrack for the new NWA movie

he also told rolling stones he's not releasing detox because even though he worked hard on it he doesn't think it's good enough for his fans which i can appreciate

it's going to be streamed on apple music for 3 hours between 6pm and 9 pm pst, but i think you have to be subscribed to apple music?

I just read the Hip-Hop Family Tree series. Very cool background info on a lot of the guys and girls at the forefront in the late '70s and early '80s. Many of the artists I was familiar with but there were so many more that I wasn't (but was surprised at how much of their music I recognized). As an added bonus, I now recognize so many more of the names that the rappers reference when I am listening to stuff.

I'll keep my fingers crossed the author puts out a few more editions.
