1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'll throw in my 2 cents. I'm thinking Big Sean will be an amazing mc. Also, there is this Canadian guy right now... and if he just became a better editor and changed his flow up a bit more he'd be a contender for next great mc. I think it's Shad, Shadd, or Shadk or something.

I encourage everyone to check out Curren$y's Pilot Talk 2. It's been in steady rotation since it dropped.

Ski Beatz is definitely on point production-wise, really enjoyed both Pilot Talks. A lot of rhyming about weed, but hey, good none-the-less.

I'm really out of the loop when it comes to new rap. Can you guys make some comparisons for me to older rappers/styles? I've not actually heard of anyone named in this thread. Where do you find out about this new shit?

It's Shad, sometimes known as Shad K.

Why, is J. Cole not on it?

The last Clipse album was amazing seriously over looked. Right now Rick Ross is my favorite rapper out.

FWIW I've been getting a kick out of retard rap lately.

    Wacka Flocka Flame

Wakka is a beast he is like a mix of Master P and Lil John.... can't rap much but makes you want to smack someone for living.

Yes. It was excellent. The last 1/2 was all Trip Hop. Anyone else super psyched for Apollo Kids? I love me some ghostface (Just kopped 2 tix to the Wu tang reunion show in NYC)

Plies has always been really funny.

I like Shad. He's too nice to ever really cut into mainstream charts, but he does the "ordinary dude" thing okay without being too socially conscious/preachy
