1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Interesting -- I'm a big fan of Charvet wovens, but don't like the prints. Not a big print guy generally though.

Marinella is really great if you go to one of their shops and have a huge choice of silks. If this is not what you are doing, Drakes and H&B are equally good, if not identical to Marinella.

I like Charvet prints, not wovens.

    Cappelli.

Why do you prefer Cappelli over Marinella? I'm curious as I am considering making a switch mostly due to location reasons as Cappelli now comes to the states...

They seem/feel better made to me, the silks are heavier, and designs are Jurassic in their classicism.

I didn't read all 10 pages, so I don't know if anyone mentioned Barba 7-fold. The non-linen ones are really hefty, which I like. Some people might not like this heft, but I have had feedback from tie guys who have bought several brands and the comments on Barba are always positive. if you don't like heft, though, these wouldn't be for you.

The Pantas I have are very nice, but I'm pretty new into ties, and don't have much to compare them to. I like them better than my Drakes, which have more of a heftiness to them.
