Hi friends ! May I have your finest advice please
All of my Levis, about 4-5 pairs, are sitting good on the legs, but a belt is needed to keep them high on the waist. It will never "fall to my knees" even without a belt, but they will drop to the "teenager low cut" level if I remove the belt.
With a nice belt, it sits just fine for the entire day and I never have to mess with it.
Question is simple... Do I take it to a taylor and risk half assed jobs and angled pockets from the narrowing, or is it perfectly normal to use the belt as utility and not just fashion ? There aren't any good ones around. All of the previous pants I took to have narrowed I hated. They angle the rear in this odd way that ruins the "look" and also lowers its durability. so it's either belt, or mail-out the jeans to some pro.
Buying the next size down on these Jeans means the legs will be too tight, so the best I could come up with is buy 38/32 and have belt hold it high up on the waist.
Thanks
