I know in the late 80's the Alfred Sung line was getting some decent attention, however I haven't heard much about their menswear line for a few years now. I saw one of their shirts the other day that looked half decent, yet was kinda hesitant about purchasing it.

Anyone know about the quality, reputation,etc.. of the Alfred Sung line? or is it just a lesser version of what it once was?

Any opinions at all?.. I'm guessing not too many people are fond of Sungs work..? I find it semi-decent, from the items I've seen.

I have one Alfred Sung shirt that I got as a gift 6 or 8 years ago. It's a nice cotton shirt, in dark green/beige plaid. It is made with nice fabric, but it's very thin - - a bit odd in that the colors are cool weather colors but the fabric is hot summer-thin. I haven't had any problem with the shirt's construction -- i.e., no broken or falling-off buttons; no seam/sewing issues.

I'd echo that. The one Alfred Sung shirt I have seems very thin in the material too. BUt it has held up well over the years, and there were no construction issues.

It fits like a tent though; I bought it before I discovered SF!

Are you in canada? The Bay has tons of them. The one I tried on fit like a tent. Cut like nautica and other department store dress shirts.
