Does Alfred Sargent use crust leather or aniline? Maybe they vary depending on the line. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
Jimmy

I am almost certain it to be aniline. Most higher end shoe companys are using the same leathers as there are not too many great quality tanneries anymore. The biggest difference is in construction, lasts and finishing.

Chay actually told me that the leather used on the Premier range is the same as the handgrade. There is just more work done on the finishing.
