I met with Chay from Alfred Sargent back in September at a Style Forum Ambassador event, http://www.styleforum.net/t/266689/first-ambassador-event-alfred-sargent-in-san-francisco/0_100, and ordered 2 pair of MTO Handgrade. They arrived yesterday.
The lasted trees are lovely, they fit perfectly and slide in and out of the shoe like butter.
The fit is very good, like a glove. Of course they are new, and a bit stiff, but I expect them to break in quickly.

Le box (I know some of you are into that sort of thing).

As you'd expect from a lasted tree.

And yet, expectation and realization are not always one and the same. In any case, it was merely an observation of how nicely these lasted trees fit the shoe.

Thank you, they are. I'm quite pleased with them.

Those look great. You may want to invest in some photography classes.

Those are beautiful. Love that fiddleback waist. These are definitely on the list of future shoes to own.

They look great. Glad they fit well. They should give you years of wear.

Both pairs look nice. I ordered a pair of suede monkstraps at the same event, but they have yet to arrive. Actually haven't heard anything out of AS since the order. Assume it will be forthcomign soon.

I have been admiring these AS monks, the Benson, on Leffot's blog.

They look quite a bit like the RLPL Grant / EG Oundle.

Thanks again for getting Chay to swing through SF. I'm hoping some others will post shots/impressions of their AS in this thread.
The 53 last is more aggressively chiseled than I typically go for, but I'm enjoying them. I feel it on my smaller toes, but they (the shoes, not the toes so much) seem to be breaking in nicely.

I dropped them an email when it hit about 14 weeks or so. Doesn't hurt. Post some pics after you get them!
