Thrifted a pair of unusual longwing brogues today, with Dainite soles.
Made for the London store Gordon Scott, which is now no longer with us.

A quick search shows that both Grenson and Crockett & Jones made shoes for this store, but the C&J ones seem to feature their name on the insole. These don't look like Grenson.

Someone on the thrift store thread suggested they might be made by Alfred Sargent.
Any experts here able to confirm or deny this ?

Check the thread about identifying shoemakers by the nail pattern on the heel.

Does anyone know which shop has a good selection of the Exclusive range? I'm looking for the Ramsey monks in black, UK size 5.5/6 with lasted trees in particular

If this is of interest to anyone here your welcome to it for the cost of postage. Alfred Sargent brochure, I'm not sure of age but it has quite a few models listed and some decent photos. I'm UK based

If you're looking for a physical store, then visit Bowen in Piccadilly Arcade, London, otherwise check out the usual online retailers like Pediwear.

bowen in piccadilly arcade has mostly lower end bowen shoes with hardly any AS. most online retailers are now cleared out of decent sizes. really the only place to buy now is their flagship store in paris at 50 Rue du Bac. You can try to DM @chausseurparis on instagram who is the main manager at the Paris store, super friendly and helpful guy. by the way I think the exclusive range is now discontinued and replaced by the new AS24 range. The AS24 seemed to be of slightly lower standards, more expensive, and as of March when I visited they did not have shoe trees available.

The AS24 did still have closed channel stitching on the sole (unlike the lower end Bowen Shoes) and retailed for around 600 euros including VAT

Does anyone actually know what is happening with Alfred Sargent? Seems very strange.

I've spoken to a woman at AS via email and they are still taking MTO requests if you have established your size. Does anyone know if they are still the OEM for other brands?
