Hello everybody,

Here are pictures of my 2 AS pairs. Edgar in premium range and Warwick in the HanGrade range.
By far among my favourites and most comfortable shoes!

Seven year old Alberto jeans, a Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra
sweatshirt, and Asics Gel Fortitude running shoes in 9 4E.
However, there is a Rubinacci silk and linen sport coat hanging
in the closet about six feet from me.

Trying to keep my brain busy in times of COVID-19 so is Shoeshine Time!! until quarantine lasts.

Brand: Alfred Sargent
Model: Armfield
Supplier: A Fine Pair of Shoes
Last: 109
Colour: Brown
Note: A beautiful oxford, some people cherish the Armfield as the best oxford. My feet feels better in the Church's Consul but the Armfield's leather and sole are things to point out. You can see in the last picture the Armfield (first on the left) with Church's Consul in 73 last colour beechnut and 173 in brown.

Cannot wait to get my hands on a pair of Armfields. By the way, how is the fit on them? Normal width compared with other brands like C&J / Allen Edmonds / Carmina, etc.

Brand: Alfred Sargent
Model: Stepney
Supplier: A Fine Pair of Shoes
Last: 87
Sole: Dainite / 360
Colour: Rustic tan

Note: IMO the best pattern of longwings. The Shoe Snob commented somthing similar some years ago. Bought from AFPOS (always very kind and reliable), I hope they can sell AS in the near future. The 360 degrees welt give the heft I like in my shoes and help as a bumper since I tend to kick stones, steps, and etc when walking.

Per another member, it’s recommended to contact them about AS Exclusive for pricing. If in US, VAT is deducted so price is around $575 I believe.

I contacted AS, and they said the USD prices were calculated a while ago and haven't been adjusted since. Thus they should be around $600 (included shipping fee of £25) considering the current exchange rates.

In my e-mail conversation with them, a pair of Armfields including shipping 415 GBP all in.

Thanks for the helpful information. I intend to buy a pair of Walter - will reach out to them again.

I see on their website the Walters are 475 GBP compared to Armfield 470 GBP. They must be pulling your leg or the dude who answered must have been mixed up / confused about deducting VAT. I specifically mentioned in my e-mail to them that I would be shipping to USA thus what is total ex-VAT. He quoted 390 GBP for the shoes, and 25 GBP for shipping. At current exchange rates 415 GBP = 514 USD.

Good luck on procuring them and let us know how they are in person! I decided against the Armfields after I secured some rare good deals on C&J and EGs.
