Looking sharp, mate
I have both the 109 and the 48. You should stay the same size unless the 109 is very snug on you as the 48 is a tighter fit at the ball than the 109.
Hey guys. I have been doing some research and eying up the AS Country Cambridge boots and I read some sizing comparisons to other AS boots and Carmina, but I don't own any of those. Could anyone with Alden Barrie Last, Allen Edmonds, Loake, Grenson, Trickers experience care to share some sizing comparisons to those brands? I am a UK 7 f fitting in Grenson and Loake, 7.5 UK Trickers 5 fitting, 8D Alden Barrie last, 8.5D in most Allen Edmonds for reference.
Thanks in advance, love the boots but want to get informed some more on sizing before jumping in.
Get same size as Tricker's and half size down fro Barrie.
quick question. for those that are familiar with aldens, i am traditionally a 9 on the barrie last, but am looking at the double monk on the jcrew website on an 87 last. Can anyone help clarify what size i should order from the website (US Sizing) thank you
I have 8.5US in Barrie (standard width) that are just a tad roomy. Wear 7.5UK in AS last 87.
I am an 8.5 on the Barrie last and always wear a UK8 in AS. Not sure what sizing JCrew is using - US or UK or how they're doing the conversion. You might want to call and check with them. Their CS is always very helpful.
Action shot of my Hannovers last week in the snow. I apologize that it's a full body shot that I had taken for a WIWT thread. I did treat them with some Saphir Renovateur once they dried and decided to use a less expensive boot for the snow in the future.
I bought some so it is a mute point really but can you tell me they are bellows tongues?
It is attached on the sides until about halfway up - to the 4th eyelet to be exact.
thanks, the 109 are as snug as I would ever want, so sizing up half sounds like a plan
Perfect. That's what I hoped for. I appreciate it.
Uh oh, conflicting results, but I realize comparisons aren't always a great way to nail down sizing, but anyone else care to share to increase the average?
I would recommend that you ask a vendor that sells some of those shoes, such as Pediwear.
I've got some other AS boots on the 87 last. They remind me of Tricker's 4497 last.
You say you wear 7.5UK in Tricker's but the 4497 and 4444 country lasts fit different (ie bigger) than the other lasts.
FWIW, I take 9.5UK in 4497/4444, 10.5US Barrie.
I can get away with a 10UK 4497. Other Tricker's lasts I wear 10UK.
