How does 724 compare to CJ 348?

More squared off and less pointy. I've sold off all of my 348/58's but one, and we're I to rebuy would do so in 7.5 rather than 8.5. I just started wearing a pair of 724 but 8 seems perfect so far.

I have slightly wider than average feet and would say the 724, although quite tapered, is wide at the joint, tight in the waist and elongated enough that it works. I bought my usual 7 and used stretchers a couple of times but I usually have to do this anyway. A half size larger may have worked but then I'd have likely ended up with heel slip and the crease running into the toe cap. They are very comfortable all day wear shoes for me, like a pair of gloves even tho I don't have toe wiggle room.

The 109 has an almond toe, a little roomier in width and toe box and the 7 fit me out of the box.
Depending on your instep and the fit at the waist which is beautifully snug for me, a slender foot may need a 1/2 size down or an insole.

But normal width feet should fit in either of these without any issues. I'd compare the 109 to C&J 341 for fit even if the 341 is a little longer.

@clee1982 Hi, I have the alfred sargent moore and cj westbourne. I would say the 724 is boxier and have higher arch, and the size that suit me also different. I wear 10,5 E for cj and 10F for moore

I hope that the Alfred Sargent experts will be able to help:

I am a UK 11 E on pretty much all Crockett and Jones and all Edward Green lasts.
And, I am a UK 11.5 E on all Gaziano and Girling lasts (I have never tried the Deco, however).

Would you agree that UK 11 F is he right size and width for me on Alfred Sargent's 109 and 724 lasts?

I take the same size in C&J 341 (7E) and Sargent 109/724 (7F). 109 is very comparable, 724 snug at first but soon gave enough to be comfortable all day. So based on my experience is that you are good to go.

No problem. I was steered onto the 341 myself by a member here who told me it would be a good fit if I was good with the Sargent 109 and he was right on the money.

    Gentlemen,

How would you compare 109 and 724 lasts to 87? I have a pair of Hanover boots in UK 7.5F. The length is fine, but the ball area and the toe box are too wide, and there is excess volume above my foot. They fit fine with thicker socks and thin insoles. I tried the 87 last in UK 7F, and while the width was fine, they were too short.

I would like to get a pair of Armfield and Moore. I take US 8.5C, and I am thinking of trying UK 7F. I do have low volume/low instep/narrow heel feet. Plus I have pretty long toes, so I have to be careful with lasts that taper super aggressively in the toe box.

    Thank you in advance
