1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

for me, I wear a half size larger on the 99 (6.5F) compared to the 89, 109, 724, and 48 (all 6F); 106 is also 6F but is pretty narrow and because it is already a long last, a half size up would be too much for me.

Here's a beautiful new video of Alfred Sargent's production of exclusives.

Edit: Oops. Didn't realize AFPoS had already posted the same video.

Enjoyed the video, thanks for the link.

+1. I'd love to see them get the attention they deserve, and a top notch web site would facilitate this.

I pre-ordered these a few months back and happy to finally get them. My first pair of Alfred Sargents...the Radwells...quite happy with these and the fit was perfect. I see more AS's in my future.

Thanks to Julian and Sarah for such a great first purchase experience!

Sorry the lighting's so bad...rather overcast in SoCal this morning.

Stop by after a few wears and post some more pics. I've never seen how the hatchgrain ages.

Those look great, just like on AFPOS website. I would love to pick up a pair of AS shoes, but I hesitate because of my wide feet, do AS shoes run wide, or is the F width their standard?

    F is their standard.

There is a nice AS Hunt fullbrogues at the B&S section (yes, I am the one selling :))

I ordered a pair from Pediwear since they were giving away a free set of lasted shoe trees. They don't have my size in stock, but hopefully the factory will. Either way can't beat the price for these beauties.

I do think it's a bit odd that the Alfred Sargent website doesn't list these.

Thanks again for the sizing advice. Ordering a size down in the UK size from my US size should work just fine.

    Cheers,

    Dan

Anyone have experience with the Pimlico on the 109 last from AFPOS?

I also noticed that all AS shoes are in F width, do AS shoes seem particularly wider than other english brands in the same size?

F is standard width, and the same as for example C&J's E width.

Just received an email that my shoes are on the way. Not bad considering they had to get them from the factory.

Also Pediwear said besides the free shoe trees they were sending a free tin of polish and shoe horn.

Looking forward to recieving my first pair of Alfred Sargents.

AS's F is the same as C&J's E fitting - also worth noting that we have had a range of finely crafted AS belts made in the same leather as the AS Exclusives shoes and any purchases over £300 get one free!

These belts are made for us by one of the best leather belt companies in England and feature hand stitching and two keepers.

I've been considering getting a pair of Chukkas for awhile.

I was actually looking at a pair of CJ's that Ben Silver was selling for the longest time until I saw these. I think the AS Radwells look quite a bit better, and I have read that the AS Exclusives are better than C&Js benchgrade shoes.

It's amazing but the Radwells' actually cost more than any of the C&J chukkas when purchased in England, however they cost $200 less with tress when purchased from the UK than Ben Silver is selling the C&J chukkas and shoe trees for.
