I happened to be the South Coast Macy's last Saturday night, and I noticed an extensive array of shoe care products being offered under the name of Macy's house brand "Alfani." They must have had several dozen creams or polishes on display.

Does anybody know anything about Alfani shoe care products? Any good? Any idea who is the vendor?

Alfani is a low end brand among low end brands. Many moons ago I bought a pair of their "leather" cap toe shoes an I swear that after four-five wearings they absolutely fell apart. That being said, how many shoe cream polish companies can their possibly be and they are probably just rebranding the same stuff that some more expensive brands sell. I don't see a reason to buy anything by them though. You can get Kiwi and Molton at your local shoe guy and plal is selling Saphir, which many think is as good as it gets. I'm sure the alfani comes in nice packaging but who cares, really?

One of these days, let's hope... Would your wife know anything about the Alfani shoecare products? I bought an Alfani suit before my tastes got more refined, but I'll have to say it's not half-bad at all for the money. I mostly wear it on funerals and Good Friday. It's a dark charcoal pinstripe.

although i do agree with my friend Ed on the alfani,

i do think some of their stuff like ties, shirts and a few suits are decent if you are just looking for a 'standard' suit for just to do its service. their prices aint that bad at all too

some of them alfani stuff do go on deep discount and it is alright, i have several alfanit stuff like belt, tie, shirts, etc. all on deep discount of course.

my wife dont know anything about the alfani shoe care products . she knows kiwi because it says it on my tins, thats about it.
she knows allen edmonds are hot shoes as well.
i did also tell her once about a gentleman who owns over 30 pairs of AE. she is quite amazed.

LOL. Sorta get the sense you have pretty much moved beyond AE, except maybe for your multi-colored Coltons.

I had a roommate who had a pair of alfani shoes. He had a bad foot odour because of the shoes. They just wouldnt breathe, and he had a habit of wearing the same socks on consecutive days. Anyway whenever I think of Alfani I think of food odour.

It would have contributed to it. But I asked him to buy a pair of leather soled shoes and reduced the amount of foot odour he had.

do NOT use the shoe cream for white shoes. i used them on my ivory leather 2 eye gold cap topsiders and it completely turned them to a grey. my favorite pair of shoes now ruined. does anyone have any options on how i can get the ivory colored restored? please help i really like these shoes. (18k gold plated on my shoes)
