Michigan Planner submitted a new resource:

Alden Sx Frans Boone Indy Boot, Size 8.0 - Plaza last Indy Boot in size 8.0 Color #8 shell cordovan from Frans Boone Store

I'm doing a massive closet cleaning and getting rid of a lot of shoes and boots that I haven't worn in over a year. These Color #8 Indy Boots are originally from Frans Boone Store and are on the Plaza Last which is a very nice alternative to the typical Barrie-lasted Indy Boots.

Details:
Alden Indy Boot
Size 8.0D
Color #8 shell cordovan
Commando sole

More detailed photos available on request.

Hey there.

I'm super interested, but I'm nervous about sizing. Any chance you have a comparison against other shoe brands you could help me with?

In Vass in the "F" last and the "New Peter" last I wear a size 41 and in Allen Edmonds I wear a size 8.0 in their Strand and Fifth Avenue shoes (I cannot recall what last those are). I also have a pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots that are either an 8.0 or 8.5 (I can look tomorrow when I am home). If there is a specific brand you are familiar with, let me know and I can see if there's something I have that I can compare them with.

FWIW, these boots in the Plaza last fit pretty much true to size in reference to what you get when you have your foot measured on the Brannock Device. These are slightly different than the typical Indy Boot on the TruBalance last which run small.

I wear a 7.5EEE on 65 last in AE (strand/park), but mainly due to my high instep. I also wear a 6.5EEE in Carmina's Rain last. Possible these might be too narrow, unless plaza is as "room" as the Barrie....

I generally wear an E width when I can get it but these 8.0D are comfortable. It sounds like these might have a little bit more length than you typically need but a tiny bit narrower. It would be a close call. I don't think the Plaza last has quite as much room as the Barrie or the TruBalance

Any thoughts?
