Alden unlined chukka in snuff suede, size 8D, purchased from Unionmade Goods last fall. I've worn maybe 5 times and decided I needed an "E" width.

I have never worn Clarks or Common Projects. If you go to the Alden thread and search through though, I am sure you can find somebody who has compared the sizing of the Alden Chukka to the Clarks Desert Boot.
