    Great classic shoes!

I have an ancient pair of AE Saratogas which are over 25 years old
and similar to the Aldens, but clunkier. Unfortunately, nothing
I have tried from Alden in recent years fits.

I love my cordo shells. The suede look fantastic. Wear them well.

I've got them in Cigar too, with the unfinished sole edges - would prefer them on the Hampton, as the Aberdeen is a taste wide. Overall I think they're better in #8, as just a trad/CBD shoe. especially since the ones I have have, and the suede ones will work for the weekend.

Front right - can just see the edges.

Don't like tassels. But I'm the opposite of an expert about shoes.

Mine unfortunately are collecting dust. They didn't ever fit quite right, and I had already placed toppy's on them. Big mistake.

It's just the trees. They are from Sky Valet, but I'm pretty sure it's floating around at many other Alden stockists these days.

Not 4E, except in their orthopedic line,
    which are really ugly IMHO

just tried on a pair randomly at lunch and i've been made an Alden believer.
I'd always assumed they were all cut like gunboats, but i've been convinced.
any thoughts on the suede flex welt ones being sold by leather soul?

I picked up some recently. I tried on the Aldens at my local BB, but personally i didnt love the shape. I found some AE graysons that fit great and looked a little sleeker to me. Sude tassels are my next purchase though. LOVE the way those look.

I've got a pair of the Aldens in #8 shell. They took a while to mold to my feet, as the Aberdeen last is a little narrow in the forefoot, but now they are among my favorite shoes.
