why? simply because I have superflat feet, have to use a short orthotics, and long time ago I found a good pair of derby thanks to the lady working in the Madison Av. Alden store in NY, after the other two stores kept giving me the wrong shoes...She understood my foot was pushing against the shoe, so she thought the derby could be a solution, allowing more room...Now I need another black shoe pair for the office, and was thinking some Alden, but I am open to other brands. But I think it must be derby.

If you insist on AE, then this might be your cheapest source. http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=229174 Otherwise look for sellers in EU like Herringshoes or Pediwear, will save you a lot of headache

Allen Edmonds has a Store Locator link on their website, where you can choose your country and get a list of stores for that country. There is also a German link on their website, if that helps any.
