The easiest way to take a vote on this is for someone to create a google doc & then all interested parties can vote and see it there is a consensus. Someone did this when we voted on the whiskey Indy and it worked great.

I say 360, matched eyelets and I don't care about the pull tab.

Quick question - aren't all eyelets a pain **********? I have my boots off several times a day (gym and out on the plant floor) and think all eyelets will make this difficult.

360 vs 270
Brass eyelets vs matched eyelets

I was also thinking about suede color. Is Alden's dark brown different than chocolate suede? Or are those just two different names or the same thing? I saw a pair of chocolate suede semi-brogues from Leather Soul on the Plaza last that looked fantastic.

Fantastic. I'm afraid I'd be lost trying to put it together. I think dark brown is the same as chocolate suede. LS and others likely think chocolate is sexier than dark brown (which I believe is Alden's color name). I could be wrong though. That LS make-up was really nice. Sad I missed it.

I've had an idea for a makeup, so I'll throw it on here to see if anyone is interested. I have normally been following the official Alden thread and just discovered this thread a couple of days ago. Here is what I had in mind:

-Brown chromexcel perforated captoe boot
-Grant last
-360 degree flat welt
-double leather waterlock sole
-goodyear rubber heel
-all eyelets


I guess this is dependent on whether or not Kathy can submit multiple orders to Alden at once (with the suede Indy already being considered).

sounds like a nice makeup. I would personally not be interested in this makeup given my current collection.
