Alden Indy Material Inquiry

Good morning / afternoon group,
I will soon be purchasing the Alden Indy boot and am unable to decide which material to go with.
Cowhide leather vs Chromexcel vs Shell Cordovan
These boots will be worn with business casual but will also see long walks in all seasons and occasional hiking.
May I ask what the general consensus is?

It's really not a business casual boot, but I wouldn't go for cxl if that's the intended use.

It’s an interesting question as the shell and brown calfskin are better suited for biz casual whereas the CXL is better suited for hiking.
