Hello all,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had experience wearing the Alden Indy Boot on commercial construction sites. I will be working as a manager on sites and need a boot that can withstand everything from walking through muddy foundations on rainy days to walking on rebar.

Thank you

Never worn Indy boots, but one in weather-resistant Chromexcel with a lug sole, like this Kudu CXL, should be good for muddy and rough surfaces. Of course, it's not a steel-toed boot. Plenty of posts on the clothing fora about the virtues of Kudu CXL in rough-weather hiking or working. A good fit in the Indy's Trubalance last will be key to comfort. Fortunately, Alden, unlike competitors Wolverine and Red Wing, offer several widths.

You could ask Indy himself...since the origin of the name is that they were Harrison Ford’s personal boots, that he used while working as a carpenter. They only became Indys when he did.
