Alden in Toronto?

Hey Guys,

I am looking for a shop in Toronto that sells Alden. I am dying for a pair of Indy boots but before I make the investment, I want to make sure I have the sizing right.

Anyone know a place?

There are no Alden dealers in Toronto. The only Alden dealers in Ontario that I am aware of are Fodemesi Shoes in London (www.fodemesishoes.com) and Knapp's Shoes in Listowel (www.knapps.ca). The closest dealer to Toronto would be O'Connell's in Buffalo (http://shop.oconnellsclothing.com/).

Harry Rosen on Bloor used to carry a couple of the cordovan models, but that was many years ago.

You're SOL as far as I know. No Aldens anywhere near Toronto.

Ouch!!

Anyone have any suggestions on brands of shoes that may have a similar fit? I have a couple pair of churches, a couple pairs of allen edmonds. Should I just go by that?

In my experience, if you call the Alden Shop in San Fran they can hook you up if you can describe what you already own that fits well: http://www.aldenshop.com/

Bumping this for a PSA: Nomad's on Queen West have got some Aldens in stock left. They've got three Indy models and an AWW. Sadly nothing in my size, but other forumites might have better luck. At least I got to try some on.

The store is called lost and found. I put their website in my post above. At the moment they only have a few styles. I was in the store again today and they told me in September they are getting a shipment from alden.

Check out the website and shoot them an email if you are looking for something specific. The guys that work there are super friendly.
