1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

These are factory seconds size 8.5D perforated cap toe bluchers on Alden's modified last. They were made for The Japanese market, where they retail for around $1000.00. These shoes are not available for sale new outside of Japan and (possibly) Paris.

The modified last is (in my opinion) the most comfortable last that Alden makes and runs a half size large. Its narrow heel, arch support and wide toe box allow your foot to move and flex freely. Check www.mouldedshoe.com, the main seller of modified last shoes in the U.S., for more information.

These were purchased from The Shoe Mart's seconds list in December 2015. They have since been worn 8 times and the sole edge has been refinished by a cobbler to a brown transparent color from black. The only flaw that I have found is shown in the last picture. The welt finish is rough and the heel has an errant nail. This is on the inner side of the shoe and is not visible while wearing. If you'd like more pictures of it, feel free to ask.

    Thanks for looking!
