Actually, I've found AE to be quite affordable, esp, under $150 new. No way I could afford Lobbs but it's nice to know why they are arguably better.

You can get Alden (and AE and Loake) at Sherman Borthers. I think Wayne Edwards keeps a limited stock of Edward Greens but I could be wrong.

I think the service at Sherman Brothers is far superior to "Mall Service." The guys that work there are real "shoe-guys."
