These are only lightly used, but were worn for the duration of a rainy weekend, apparently causing some water damage to the bond between the top layer of leather on the welt and the midsole, evident in the pictues as a fine crack on the front of the toes.

The heel on this pair is not perfectly level with the front of the shoe so you get a little bit of rocking forward and back. Presumably this is just Alden being Alden, but I've noticed it to some extent with other makers. Did not ruin the experience of owning them. Recommend breaking in.

The tan nst is really cool. Probably a good thing it's a half size too small for me
