Air "whooshing" Sound From Shoes

Does anyone have an issue with their shoes making a "whooshing" sound when they walk?

It seems to happen on my better fitting shoes. The shoes that most closely resemble the shape of my foot seem to have a louder sound. I guess when the leather closely fits my feet, the air moving through this smaller gap makes a sound. Is there a fix?

That's the sound of the souls of the poor animals used to make the shoes escaping.

Inserts. I suspect the problem is due to the gap between the arch of your foot and the flatness of the sole. When you plant your foot, and the weight of your body presses the arch into the sole, it squeezes the air out. Hence, whoosh.

While this might be the problem in OPs case, I have the same problem in some of my shoes and it is not because of my arch. I have crazy flat feet so I am sure it isn't my arch making noise. I will be watching this thread closely though, because I would love a solution.

If the air whooshing is giving you any form of pleasure, it may be a good thing. No one need know.

Where I come from, the first step in problem-solving is defining. edit: is the queef coming from inside the shoe? A friend of mine had rubber-soled shoes (I know, wtf?) that queefed. It was just the rubber compressing and venting. Unfixable in his case.

Yeah I don't understand why it's so hard to get people to take shoe-farts seriously.

Means the shoes are poorly fitting or made poorly. Though I had a pair of Converse about 15 years ago that squeaked every time my right foot left the floor, and it was annoying, so I know what it's like. Nothing I did could fix it.

EDIT: Or in your case it could be that the shoes match you're feet too well, but not perfectly. The "uncanny valley" as applied to shoes results in an armpit fart sound.
