Air France pilots strike?

Wondering if anyone's been affected by the pilots strike?

Originally, the strike was supposed to take place from September 15th until September 22nd, but the pilots prolonged it to September 26th with the possibility of prolonging it even further if the conflict with Air France isn't resolved.

I'm flying with AF on October 5th, going to Portugal for our honeymoon, and I'm getting worried it might have an impact if the strike keeps going. So far, almost 60% of the flights (daily) are cancelled, and almost every YUL-CDG or CDG-LIS flight or both got canceled.

Anyway, just felt like letting off some steam...

I took a plane the day before the strike started, the airport was a mess and a lot of people ended up staying on the ground. Make sure you confirm your flight is still on or get a refund (they'll provide it) and use another company. AF are trying to **** their pilots up the ass like they try to **** everyone else but pilots know they have some leverage, this thing is about to end so you might not even have to change anything.

Well, the problem is, strike was supposed to go on until yesterday, and now it's going strong until the 26th, and now I hear they might extend until the 30th.

Sure, October 5th is a couple of days ahead, but I'd like to be prepared. I've found some one way trip to Lisbon for less than 400$ on Air Transat, but I can't book them now, AF actualizes it's flights only 24h in advance. So, if I learn on October 4th that my go-to flight is cancelled (coming back with KLM, so no worries), I don't have much time to find another airline and prices probably won't be that affordable..

But thanks, I hope you're right about the conflict ending soon.

Contact air france and ask for a refund, I know they offered it when the conflict started, see if this can be applied to you. I must tell you their lines will be very busy but you probably already guessed that.

The conflict seems to be moving toward a quick resolution, I would not be surprised if it was settled by friday....
