Grabbed the cream fleece from Kith. Will report back when it comes in.

Because they think they’re dope mostly... some think prices will go up. I just don’t see much more room to rise, not many buyers out there for a $1500 New Balance

JJJJound new balance 990V3s were around this range, mainly because of how scarce they were so it's not much of a stretch. In saying that, NBs are having a moment so selling now isn't such a bad idea.

So what shoes do you guys recommend go with the ALD contemporary urban aesthetic? Bonus points if they’re not super hype and inaccessible.

I love the NB550s but I’m not willing to pay ridiculous resell prices for them.

I grabbed a pair of NB990 V5 and they look great with the look and are probably the most comfortable shoe I own. My Heschung Thuyas and Margiela GATs as well. Any other suggestions?

Well they have their own AF1 lookalike coming 'soon'

Canvas upper, leather lining, chunky sole

They've been styling with the beige wallabees and the new balance 992 pretty heavily

Shape looks great but I prefer leather and they will probably sell out instantly.

I'd be shocked if they sell out instantly, but with the hype behind the brand now it's definitely a possibility. They released leather and suede Q14s some years ago that were great and sat on shelves everywhere, could pick them up for like $70 from places like END., etc.

I agree that canvas is a big disappointment, not sure why they didn't just make leather ones again.

I'd say ETQ. Amsterdam and Filling Pieces, especially the older models, are along the lines of luxury streetwear that ALD is going for as well. In fact, Filling Pieces collaborated with ALD a while back on a couple pairs.

It's awesome man. It's very classic Aime in its fit and styling with a pretty big collar, longer length ( I'm 6'1 155lb for reference) and regular fit (not too slim or oversized). It's also a lot thicker than I expected and can pass as a light jacket almost. I'd highly recommend grabbing it if you see it at stockists or if ALD restocks (saw them restock the pleated pants in size S, so could happen with the overshirts too). If you're looking for absolute quality, you can find better at this price point but its still well-made and looks great imo.

What size did you go with?
