Damn, took my pair haha. If you don't want them hit my line!
Not from London but I also heard several times that it might open in Spring this year. I still don't understad why they chose London instead of Paris tho. Paris is a much better fit to their whole vibe and aestethic IMOI know a store is coming to London, but hearing rumblings of it opening as soon as March of this year. Anyone have any more insight on this? Any Londoners walk by the potential Soho spot and see construction/progress?
No, it should be in Portland. You know, "the dream of the 90s" and all that. ?Not from London but I also heard several times that it might open in Spring this year. I still don't understad why they chose London instead of Paris tho. Paris is a much better fit to their whole vibe and aestethic IMO

Yeah, same for me. I've been consistently buying from ALD since 2014 and it's both awesome and worrying to see the recent spike in popularity. Though I have to say that they don't necessarily cater to the hype as they rerelease popular items in the following seasons. Even the 550s saw a comeback already. Also, they do fair raffles, pre-orders, etc. which to me kind of counter acts the fast consumerisms of hype. Overall I am happy for the team at ALD, it's awesome to see hard work pay off.I want to decry their newfound popularity, but I’m ultimately happy for the brand. It’s hyped up enough already but it might be reach Supreme levels of ridiculousness after this expansion.
I’m also pleased that they have brought NB up with them. Where I work (NJ) I still get accused of liking “dad shoes” when I wear my 550s and 990s.
I don't think most people here are concerned about the hype factor, but rather not being able to justify the increase in price tag while quality may potentially decrease. Lots of brands can't keep up with the speed of their success.Yeah, same for me.
