Do you (anyone) have any advice for purchasing shoes second-hand/online or at a discount? Specifically, I'm looking at a pair of Lobbs that I will have the chance to try on. They are NOT from this season, but are brand new sans box and dust covers. I believe that are from the Hermes line rather than the Lobb-St. James firm. How much would you guys pay for a pair shoes from the "gray market"? I've become relatively adept at spotting fakes and have some familiarity with current Lobb models by browsing the real stuff at BG. Oh btw, they are the model shown at this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....62&rd=1 your help will be appreciated... norcal

They are quite real. How much are they worth? Retail is $750 and new items rarely go for more than 50% of retail on ebay. Average ebay price for new Lobbs is $350-$400. But I'd say they are worth what you are willing to pay.
