Thanks to Google, I found SF when I had a couple of random questions about clothing. I began reading the forum daily and learned quickly. Yes, Goodyear welt was not some sort of odd skin affliction caused by a tire, but the preferred method of shoe construction. However, I unwittingly fell into... the shoe trap! No longer could I be satisfied with my Ferragamo Studio line shoes. I began my quest to build a proper shoe wardrobe, and here it is:

Looks like 2010 should be the year of the boot.

There's much to like, but no suede in your collection yet.

I'm just giving you something to shoot for in 2010.

Nice collection. Would be nicer if you can put their names/models to the first post.

Great collection, but I agree, I'd look to add some suede this year.

Done -- thank you for the suggestion

...and thanks to everyone for their kind comments and suggestions! Apparently, I need to start hunting for some suede shoes

I bought two pairs of shoes in my first year.

Yes, suedes and a patent leather pair for (semi)formalwear.

Nice stuff, you've done a good job of pulling together a diverse and very wearable shoe collection that covers most of the bases. Yes, suede should be next, and potentially a boot or two.

A great start, and more than one pair a month! You do know that it only gets worse from here.

You'll tell yourself in another six months "I don't need another pair of shoes", it just then becomes "I want another pair of shoes"... Google has got a lot to blame...
