Anyone planning after-Christmas shopping? I'll be in Chicago visiting family and am being dragged along (well, maybe not dragged) on the morning of the 26th, but will also be doing some more in the following week or so.

If so, where are you going? Brooks Brothers sent me something which said 40% off plus an additional 15% on the morning of the 26th.

after christmas shopping is where the fun starts!

weve done all our christmas shopping , we just cannot wait till post christmas for the stuff for ourselves now.

the outlets and the malls are going to be crazy. i may well just have to walk over to south coast mall (less than a mile) as there wont be any parking.

it will be fun!!!

Boxing day shopping is tradition for us, as is black friday.

usually we hit up wilshire (Barneys, Neimans, Saks etc) but there really isnt a whole lot that I've seen I want this year. So, like Brian above, we're gonna do SCP, as their Barney Co-Op has one particular item I've been eyeing and will see if fate proclaims it to be mine. Then off to Fascist Island where I know we're getting gift cards for some stores there. I hate falling into the trap of "everything is so cheap" and end up buying tons of crap, when I'd rather pool those funds and just get one thing I REALLY want.

I'm sure this question has been asked many times in the past, but does the extra 15% apply to shoes on the morning of the 26th? Or is it the standard 25% on that day as well?

It did not mention shoes on the flyer, so I have no idea.

You live less than a mile from the mall and usually drive to get there! You probably walk several times that distance just walking around inside and between stores.

Precisely, you do the initial drive to save your energy for the mall walking! If you walk there, you'll probably be less inclined to do as much walking...as least I would since i'm a lazy bastard.

I've heard about Nordstrom's semi-annual sales being good but I have yet to experience one. Is there one following the holiday and if so what should we expect in the way of savings on mens wear e.g. shoes....

I'll go to the Bay or Holt Renfrew to see If I can get a nice pair of boots for the right price.

Guys, could those of you who're BB shoppers phone your store contacts and clear up what exactly, as far as mark-downs, they plan on doing with non-cordovan shoes post-Christmas ? As I'm unable to get a coherent response from my local commission hounds

.
On top of that, when pressed on whether to earn an extra 15% discount one would be required to use a BB CC - this schifosa looked @ me like Tina Turner @ Ike

Last year for non-cordovan shoes it was 25% off plus an extra 15% off before noon on the 26th. This was at the 346, no idea what BB.com did or does.
