Just curious, does any of you have an idol of African descent you look up to for his sense of style?

Current: Terrance Howard -- kind of reminds me of an old time movie star; Ozwald Boateng -- his cuts don't always work for me but he looks immaculate when seen in public
Classic model: Dizzy Gillespie -- crazy jazz cat; Ed Bradley -- stylish and hip

Denzel - but I also wish my teeth were as white as his and my diction as crisp.

I like Fonzworth Bentley, Andre 3000, and Common, although I don't strive to dress like them.

I agree with other prior posters on Common and Ed Bradley (the guy was the understated epitome of style).

I also like the stylings of Sammy Davis and Jay-Z (in more recent times).

Common, definitely, and I also like Dizzie Gillespie and Terrence Howard.

I like Don Cheadle too, but not necessarily for his clothes.

    The Cab!

Early to mid life Ellington, Malcolm X, 50's Sonny Rollins, Solomon Burke, and 60's & 80's Marvin Gaye was steppin' razor sharp!

I'm not sure of Don Cheadle's sense of style, but the guy is truly a class act.

Let me also jump on the Dizzy bandwagon.

Thelonious Monk was stylin. Miles was cool, I also like Dukes style. Jay-Z good except for his shirt collars.

I've only seen a couple pictures but I also like this fellow:

He owns this shop in Harlem.
