Thanks to everyone for all the advice. It was fantastic. I leave on Tuesday and will post when I return. As far as quality level, I understand full well that I will not be getting Brioni or even Zegna off-the-rack quality. That's fine. I'm picky but not that picky (not that there's anything wrong with picky . . .).

Frankly, the average guy on the street doesn't even recognize Zara-level of quality so I think this forum's posters are not exactly a representative cross-section

I'm 5'8" and 135 pounds and work out six days a week so I think the Suit Company will work perfectly (as it as in the past for me). I just wanted to know if there were alternatives for me. I don't like spending more than $400 (maybe $500 at a stretch) for a suit and $175 for shoes. I will spend $300 to eat at Sukiyabashi Jiro but I will not spend $600 for a suit. I guess different strokes for different folks.

I find that very few men in Argentina dress well (as a % of the overall male pop.) so I do not trust getting a suit made there (and based on the few shops I've seen, the fabrics and styles offered are WAY out of date) so unless I were to get a trusted recommendation for a tailor there, I'm not going to chance it.

Thanks again.
