Aero leather Steer or horse

I usually wear just formalish wear but I am thinking of investing in one casual wear to wear when I am abroad on a holiday but would you suggest steer hide or horse hide leather jacket from aero leather?Specifically, the one I am looking at is in the model called moonshiner. If anybody has experience with either of them please let me know what you think of the steer or horse hide? The colour I am after is in cordovan. Please let me know and I wish you all a lovely day.

If you want heavy, I’d go with Horween CXL8. But if you want mid-light then horsehide is beautiful.

The steerhide is slightly lighter than the horsehide, but the only leather you will get the cordovan color in is either CXL horse or vicenza horse. CXL is heavier than vicenza, which is mid-weight.
