I'm getting ready to order a custom aero leather jack and I was hoping I could get some advice on the fit. The one with the white trim is a 40, and it is borderline uncomfortably tight. I could probably wear with a t-shirt or a light button up underneath and that's it. I've been told it will stretch about a half size, so it might fit well after stretching.

The all black is a 42 and is comfortable as is. Might be able to wear a thin sweater underneath with a t-shirt under that. Might be a tad too big after stretching.

What are your thoughts?

The main things are the arm length. The arms look short on the 40. If you can add say, an inch to the arms of the 40, it would probably be fine. On the flip side, the 42 looks fine except for in the upper back where there is extra room. On the 40, the upper back is fairly flush to tight. While the leather in the upper back will also relax, there will always be a bit of excess that is not needed unless you are actually going to use this to ride.

I can add length to the sleeves and was planning to add at least an inch.

So I'm going to go with the 40 and I can add length to both the sleeves and the body. I'm thinking 1.5" to 2" the sleeves.

What do u thing about the body length?

I think that the body needs maybe 1"? Right now, it looks rather short, not jarringly so, but still, since you have the option.
