I got these Sullivan street boots on clearance from Allen Edmonds but as you can see in the pics there is some loose grain on the shaft, should I keep it?
The price after tax was around $229 with dainite sole and unfortunately they are no longer available in my size (12D). The boots are otherwise fine except for the 'loose grain'

Shaft will be covered by pants, and being pebble grain it's far less noticeable. It honestly isn't that bad. I personally would keep.
Maybe my excessive collection makes me more tolerant of leather variations and imperfections.

The boot shafts are going to break in with wear and the loose grain won't matter. They'll never be this non-wrinkled again once you start wearing them and they flex and bend around your ankles.
