AE Shoe Tree

I own an AE combination cedar shoe tree (it is the one that has two pieces that flex) and some days it looks like there is a specific right and left side and other days they look the same. Anyone know is the AE combination cedar shoe tree is right or left specific

They are right and left specific. I'll grant you that in certain light sometimes it does take a second to make sure of which one you've picked up. Some guys like to mark R and L on the trees for that reason, you could try that if you're having difficulty.

They are definitely different for each foot. Good advice about marking them though...
