I'm in need of some quick info. Is the last on which the McAllister sits, on the wider side? Basically, the question is, if I normally wear a 13D, is the McAllister in a 13 A likely to work? As a point of reference, the Chester in 13A fits perfectly but my Sanfords are a 13D and they also fit well.

Thanks in advance.

I believe it's on the #5 last, the Park Avenue last, which is not a wide last.

I have a pair of McAllisters and I think that the width runs true but the length is about a half size long. I have a 10.5B and I think it would fit someone who typically wears a size 11B. I hasten to add that while I believe that my posting is accurate, I am somewhat at a loss to explain why this occurs because the length of the shoe based on a heel-to-toe measurement of the sole is within the range of most of my other A-E size 10.5B shoes. Nonetheless, I stand by my assertion that the shoes run one-half size long.

That makes some sense, insofar as the 5 is often described as an elongated last by AE standards. I wear an 11.5 in the PAs, but a 12 fits better on other AE lasts.
