I currently have 26 pairs of AE shoes and several have an insole that is padded. I think this is what is called the poron insole. It is very comfortable. It causes me to wonder why this cushioned insole is not standard issue on all AE dress shoes. Is there some reason due to the shoe's construction that prevents this? I would think that a cushioned footbed would only make the AE offerings an even better value. I have the Holt monk strap, the Stanford boot and the Ashbury boot that have this padded insole, along with the Positano, Capri, and Muldoon loafers. Just wondering why this padded insole is not included in the dress shoe line.
